Why would you want to write a mini eBook? Well the first and most obvious answer is that your name will appear as the author. Not only that, but you can give the book away to your existing list, or post it on forums as a freebie. Of course, for your own site or blog, there is nothing like a free giveaway to attract potential customers.
Another way to distr ibute your mini e-book is to send it to friends. You can always ask them if they would like to write a testimonial too. Though of course, keep this optional, no-one likes to feel forced or obliged to do something.
These are just a few ideas, get creative I am sure you will find many many uses for a free e-book.
Now, down to the writing of your book. Obviously, as it is just a small book, you don't want to put into it everything about your topic. You want to engage your reader, and get them interested in your products so they will click on the links and buy.
Do however, make sure that what you put in the e-book is good solid information. Don't make it a sales pitch. This is not the aim of this book. It is there to brand your name. Show that you are an expert in your field and that you can offer good service to your customers.

Use a friendly style of writing, write as if you are speaking to your close friends. Even those who consider themselves challenged when it comes to writing can use this style. Just imagine you are telling your friends all about your business. Be passionate and use that passion in your writing.
After all you wouldn't tell your friends how excited you are about your business in a dull manner, now would you?
Be yourself, don't try to copy anyone else's style of writing. Each person has their own unique style and this is what will help you to brand your name. People will recognize your style of writing and will pick up on anything else you write in the future. Above all relax, you really will find that the words flow very easily if you just relax.
Having written your lovely mini e-book now give it a professional look by adding a cover. There are many excellent e-book cover compilers and if that is too daunting, then look around for some free covers. Once again, there are excellent sites with blank colors just waiting for you too add a title and some graphics.
Graphically challenged? Again, not a problem. Free clipart sites are a marvelous source of finding some very interesting graphics. If you cannot find anything you really like, then you can always out-source the graphics. There are many designers out there who will make you a small graphic for a reasonable fee and you may even be able to find someone you can 'trade talents' with, offer to do something for them in return for them making you a graphic.
Staying with graphics, don't over-do the graphics. Keep them simple and relevant. After all the main thing which you want noticed is the Title of the Book. Make that the most prominent feature, followed by your own name or pen-name if you use one.
Of course, don't forget to put in your links. These can be scattered throughout your book. Make sure that the With Compliments line at the start of the book has your name and web site address. This though should be able to be changed, so that anyone else distributing your mini e-book can change this to theirs. That way, they get exposure too.
The big thing is be creative, you will be surprised just how easy it is to write a mini e-book. And just how far will your book roam on the internet? That's up to you and how much you promote it!
