"Soul Growth" by Dorothy M. Neddermeyer, PhD

Sometimes your soul evolves more quickly than your circumstances. Your subconscious mind may be ready to move forward before you consciously recognize that you are seeking to embrace a new phase of your life.

Your soul instinctively understands that changing habitats can be a vital part of the growth process and that there may be one part of you that is eager to move to another place, another state, or another plane of existence. However, the ties that bind you to your current mode of being can make moving into your next phase of your life more challenging than it needs to be.

If you are having difficulty moving on, consider that as people in your life come and go, your role in others' lives may also be temporary. Many of these conditions that at first seemed favorable served you for a time. When you are ready to match your circumstance to your soul, you will feel a new sense of harmony and feel increasingly connected to the ebb and flow of the universal energy.

Moving on can be experienced in numerous ways. Your forward movement may take you from your current locale to a place you instinctively know will be more nurturing, comfortable and spiritually enriching. When you arrive, your misgivings will vanish, and you will know that you have found your sanctuary. Subtle changes in your values, goals, or emotional needs can motivate you to move away from one group of people and thus you associate yourself with others whom you are better able to identify with and with whom there is mutual support and understanding. This can mean moving away from your birth family to find your energetic or spiritual family. The route you travel may not be clear, you may feel inspired to change albeit unsure as to why or how. Clarity may come in the form of questions if you are willing to ask yourself where your soul needs to go.

Moving from one point to another when you feel compelled to do so is a way of bringing your spiritual and earthly (ego) energies together. This process involves not only letting go of the old, but also reconnecting to yourself at deeper and deeper levels.

You will know you have found your place, physical or otherwise, when you feel the heartfelt sense of being reborn into a life that is the right tempo in mind, body and spirit.
